1, The constitution of Cash register

Cash register is make in Barcode reader and Electrical cash register. Electrical cash register is include ECR kayboard, customer display, mini-bill printer, PC mainframe and display, cash drawer these 5 section.

Barcode reader: the machine using for scanning the commodity

The main type are: Pen model barcode reader, CCD barcode reader, laser scanner barcode reader, fixup model barcode reader and so on. Thereinto fixup model barcode reader is widely used by some emporium because of it's advantage of highly resolving power, scanning fleetly, long life and so on. Handy CCD barcode reader, laser scanner barcode reader, working distance is very long, using freely, it is very popular in some small supermarket.

Please note: the optics face of Reader can not knock, scrape, cover protection things, note the connection can not part. Keep the machine clean.

The function of Electrical cash register

Accept the barcode input by barcode scanner, according barcode commodity data in cash register EMS memory to find the related content of that commodity, e.g. PLU, Unit price and so on. And calculate the actual total amount during current sales.

Finish gathering, give back change, open the cash drawer, put in the payment, then print out uniformity two part sales receipt.

Deal with diversified promotion function which is seted up in advance: Discount, correct, cancel, cheque, Reture and so on.

Transfer the sales report Via network to mainframe of back up computer center, and stock automatically.

The basic kayboard of cash register: number key(0~9 number), qperation key, promotion contral key (discount), payment mode key(cash, cheque, foreign currency, credit card, gift certificate), cancel/correct key, trade over key(subtotal, total) and so on.

Cash register function key: department sort key, lock password key, tax rate key, tax rate calculate key, valuta exchange key, report print key, setup freely key and so on.

Normally, the keyboard have around 35keys, at the top right corner there is a key jack, it is separated to 0~3 files, the setup is different with every file.

0 file: close status file 1 file: cashier file 2 file: operator/director of operator file 3 file: Computer department file

Customer display: it is a machine which is face to customer and display the information of commodity name, price, total amount and so on. Usually, it can circumgyrate, usually customer display at most can display two line character, the display language can be English, Chinese, Spell, when as gethering status, ordinarily it can display Green, red, yellow and so on, but before input commodity, customer display show nothing. After input commodity, customer display should display commodity quantity and price. After press " Total amount", customer display show commodity total price. After input the cash which customer gives then press "cash", customer display will show changes. In close status, customer display will show "welcome"

Mini bill printer: The machine use for printing trade characters bill, usually every mainframe collocate two printers, print automatically at the same time, one for save, one for customers, or one printer print out uniformity with two part receipt. The receipt content which print out by printer is usually include store name, time, trade number, cash register number, commodity name, quantity, unit price, total price, commodity code or commodity barcode and gathering amount, charge amount and so on. Put sales list fixed on the rewinder of printer, press "formfeed" key, printer will formfeed automatically, after printer stop to formfeed, press the "formfeed" key several times, then keep the paper right.

PC mainframe and display

PC mainframe CPU EMS memory 2~4MB harddisk, floppy drive, memory card, monitor, network card, display.

Cash drawer, connect with cash register, the compressed metal for saving cash, have Electrical lock, switch is contraled by gathering key. There are some small grilles and clip.

Electrical scale is the weighing and measurement tool when sending/receiving mail. It's veracity not only effect the quatity of sending/receiving mail, but also have a relationship with benefit of user and Enterprise. During using, some Electrical scale will occur some problem, most is because of using way is not correct and daily maintain is not correct, these problem always arouse bothers between users. Therefore, waiters are necessary to master some basic knowledge about Electrical scale, in order to make sure using and maitain correctly.

Put Electrical scale correctly is the first step to measure by rule and line. Electrical scale should used on a level and steady table, don't put paper or something under the scale, it will effect Electrical reading when use it on a slantwise or shaky table, therefore, if Electrical scale put on flatly is a very important factor to effect it's veracity.

Electrical scale is makeup of exact sensitive groupware and Mcrocomputer, using it with a correct way is the best method for maintaining the scale exact.

The prepare work before use:

1. Please use Electrical Scale with on a fixing and flat desk, do not put it on a shaking and flabby desk or etagere.

2.Avoid to put the scale in some place which's temperature have to much change and Air Flowing tempestuously, e.g. The sunlight irradiation directly or oueside the place of cold wind.

3. Use single pawersupply connector is order to avoid the disturb from the other Electrical machine.

4.Adjust Electrical Scale's adjust feet, to make the Scale calm and make the air bladder in the center of circle in gradienter.

5. When the power on, please don't put the goods on scale, let the scale prepare theirself for 15minit before use it(High precision need more time)

Please Note when use:

1.Don't allowed drench or wash with water, if it is moistened, please use dry fabric to clean it, when the machine does not work well, please repair it as soon as possible.

2.Do not allowed to beat, strike and stress the Scale.

3.Please do not place the Scale in some high temperature and wet environment( excepte appropriative waterproof and antisepsis Scale)

4.Do not make blackbeetle or some other inchling inside the machine, in order to avoid to be damaged.

5.If do not use Electrical scalefor a long time, please clean the machine, and put it into plastic bag with dryer, if use dry battery, please take it out, if use storage battery, you should charge it every three month, to make sure their using life.

Termly Revise:

1.For Scale's veracity, you should revise at least one time during a year.

2.Revise method, you can consign some Scale shop which have good credit, laboratory or government checking department to do that.

If use inside the Factory, also can buy one set of standard weight which is eligible test to revise it termly.

Thermal paper is especially for Thermal printer and Thermal electrograph, the quality of paper will affect the printing quality and save time directly, even affect the life of printer and electrograph. In Currently market,the good and bad thermal paper are intermingled, and also, our Country have not issuance standard, most of users don't know how to distinguish the quality of thermal paper, this will make convenience for some suppliers produce the bad quality thermal paper, induce users damnify, normally, shorten save time, writing blur, badly, it will mangle printer. this article will show you how to distinguish the quality of thermal printer, in order to avoid to be caught with chaff again. Thermal paper is divided into three floor, the bottom floor is basic paper, the second floor is thermal coat, the third floor is protect floor, the second and thired floor is the primary factor of affect the quality.

　　If thermal paper's coat is asymmetrical, when it print, it will induce the colour of somewhere are undertone, but somewhere are fuscous, printing quality falling down very obviously, if chymic directions of thermal coat is without reason, will induce sorten save time of printing paper, good quality printing paper after printing, can save(in the condition of normal temperature, abstain sunlight irradiation directly) five years, not some thermal peinter can save 10 years, but if thermal coat's directions withput reacon, it just can be saved for several months.

　　The protect coat is very important for save time after printing also, it can absorb some part of ray which will induce thermal coat occur chymic reaction, delay printing paper metamorphose, and it can protect printer's thermal element are not damnify, but if protect coat is asymmetrical, not only debase the protection to thermal coat, and even during printing, it will appear small grain of protect coat fall off. Rub printer's thermal element, induce the damnify of printer thermal element.

Label paper must be layed in a circumstance which temperature is 15℃～32℃, and humidity is 40%～70%, and must be used after produced one year. After leaving the factory, must try to adopt dampproof membrane or resemble packaging earlier, in order to dampproof. Printing quality of cut line maybe will debase. Therefore, should avoid printing at the cut line. For printing precision, should set aside 2mm frame. If label and the quality and thickness of back page is not enough, fixation heat up will curl paper. In order to avoid this case, label and back page should use statice printing paper, this kind of paper will not have curliness obvious when it be heat up. If label paper stack too high, the bond of bottom paper will possibly extrude by stack weight. Hence, should consult paper manufacturer, the most stack high.

Scanner have a lot of variety, usually, we use followings:
　　1, Handy scanner. Handy scanner is detrusived as a technic formative product in 1987, it looks like the barcode scanner which is used by cashier in supermarket. Most of Handy scanner use CIS technique, optics distinguish rate is 200dpi, there have black and white, gray rate, colours and so on, usually the colour type is 18digit colour. Some top grade adopt CCD as sensitization parts, can achieve really colour, the effect of scanning is better then others.

　　2,Small doffer model scanner. This model is the product between handy scanner and flat roof scanner(these year have some new product, because it is internal powersupply and the cubage is very small so it called Notebook scanner), most of this product use CIS technique, optics distinguish rate is 300dpi, have gray rate and colours, colour type is usually 24digit colour. There also have few small doffer scanner use CCD technique, effect of scanning is obviously better then CIS technique products, but regarding the limited of configuration, cubage is obviously bigger then CIS products. Small doffer design is fixup lens of scanner, and move the things which you want to scan, then scan by lens, it's working like the printer, the thing which is for scanning must through machine then take out, hence, the things use for scanning can not be thick. The most advantage of this scanner is, cubage is small, but because of the limite to use, for example, just can use for scanning a very thin paper, range can not bigger then scanner.

　　3,Flat proof model scanner. Another name is flat model scanner, stage scanner, in current market, most of scanner is flat scanner, that is mainstream in the market. This model's optics distinguish rate between 300dpi-8000dpi, colour digit from 24digi to 48digi, scanning range is A4 or A3. The advantage of flat is seems like to use copycat, just open the top cover of scanner, no matter it is book, newspaper, magazine, photo negative, all of them can be scanned, very convenient, and the effect also is the best then usual scanner.

There also have the big surface scanner for big surface, pen scanner, barcode scanner, negative scanner(please note, it is not flat scanner plus perspective scan, the effect is very good, of cours the price is very high),practicality scanner(it's not the scanner which just have ability to scan practically and flat scanner, it is seems like Digital camera), also have some doffer scanner which is mainly used for industry printing typeset domain and so om.

So how to select a cash register? According our sales experience, advice you to consider from follow four items,

Firstly, when you choose a machine, the things you should consider first is you want to choose the utility one or luxury one. Because every machine is not all-purpose, it can satisfy you 95% or 98% needs, but it can not make you 100% satisfy. The most expensive one not always the best one, and the most adwanced one is not always the most suitable one for you.

Secondly, to choose a cash register or choose a "communicaiton machine"? Choose thired machine, so it can satisfied the bacis getherting function, at the same time, it add some other function, it can make your expectation from 95% up to 98%, but this 3% function maybe will make the intrinsic invest up to 100% even to 200%, but during the practice operational, these function are not likely to make the sales amount up 100%.

Hence, when you choose the most suitable machine, you should hold your principle. To the most of Shopping mall and chain shop, choose the good quality of second machine is more wiser.

Cash Register Generationa

The first generational cash register:

Departments are less than 10. PLUs are less than 350. There are few payment methods. It can only provide amount report, cashier report, department report and PLU report. It has not the capability of communication.

The second generational cash register:

Departments are more than 20. PLUs are more than 300. There are more than 4 payment methods. It can provide more than 4 reports. Data can be saved temporarily and can be recalled. It can communicate with PC and have ports for the electronic cash register (ECR (ECR) peripheries.

The third generational cash register:

It is also called PC-base cash register. It is a new generation based on PC. Besides the functions of data collection of the second generational cash register. It is a new generation based on PC. Besides the functions of data collection of the second generational , it has the function of data processing.
